1. Famous Quote
Guests inside the Monorail will hear “Please stand clear of the doors. Por Favor Manténgase Alejado de las Puertas”, each time the doors close. This famous quote is well-known by Disney fans and has been printed on T-Shirts. Voiced by Jack Wagner.

There are currently 12 Monorail trains operating at Disney World. They are known by the color stripe on the side, see the complete list below.

Disney World’s monorail system stretches 14.7 miles long across 3 tracks and transports an estimated 50 million guests each year.

Since 2009, guests are no longer allowed to ride in front with Pilot for safety reasons.

6. 3 Lines
The Walt Disney World Monorail System has 3 separate lines that travel throughout Walt Disney World Resort.
- The Resort Monorail, stops at: Magic Kingdom park, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC).
- The Epcot Monorail goes between TTC and Epcot.
- The Express Monorail goes between TTC and Magic Kingdom park.
7. Disney World Monorail Operating Hours
Disney World’s Monorail System runs 30 minutes before earliest park opening through one hour after latest park closing.
8. Promotions
Disney started using its Monorail system as a form of advertising new Disney movies in 2010, with wraps for the monorail. Past ones include: Iron Man 3, Monsters University, Cars 2 and the first was Tron: Legacy.
9. MAPO system
Disney World’s monorail system is backed by the MAPO safety system. Interestingly enough MAPO was installed using profits from Disney’s Mary Poppins, notice the name now. Emergency tests are run daily on the MAPO system to ensure guest safety.
