One day at Epcot is not enough for me when I head to Disney World. I always make sure to schedule in multiple visits to Epcot during my stay. There is just so much to see and do in this park. Today we are highlighting 10 Hidden Gems That Should Be On Your Epcot To-Do List! Next time you visit Epcot, consider these lesser known tips and things to do!
1. Hidden Mickey At The Gran Fiesta Tour
Ride The Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros in the Mexico Pavilion of the World Showcase. Look for the hidden Mickey in the final scene of the boat ride. Look to the small boat saying, VIVA DONALD, it is here you will find the 3 drums forming a hidden Mickey!
2. Walk the Hedge Maze
Head to the United Kingdom Pavilion and find a Hedge Maze tucked away from the crowds. Spend a few minutes walking through this maze of hedges.
3. Listen To Voices of Liberty
Listen to the beautiful Voices of Liberty in the American Adventure of the World Showcase. Dressed in 1800s costumes, this 8-member a cappella group will fill the hall with patriotic music. This group performs throughout the day, lasting 15 minutes. Songs include: “America the Beautiful”, “This Land Is Your Land”, “This Is My Country”, “You Raise Me Up”, “The Battle Hymn of the Republic”, “Yankee Doodle Dandy” and “Let It Go”.
4. Disney Visa Cardholder Meet & Greet
If you are a Disney Visa Cardholder, we have a hidden gem for you! Did you know card holders get an exclusive Character Experience at Epcot?! Guests can meet with Mickey, Minnie, Pluto or Goofy, come back each day to see who is there. Simply present your valid Disney Visa card. Plus, complimentary downloads of your photos are included.
5. Dine At Chefs de France
Consider Chefs de France, a wonderful and lesser known sit-down restaurant in the France pavilion of the World Showcase. Grab your lunch or dinner reservation at this family-friendly environment. Then, enjoy French cuisine and views of the World Showcase promenade.
6. Hidden Mickey in the Germany Pavilion
Be sure to look up in the Germany Pavilion to the guard statues. The Woman statue with the blue sash contains a hidden Mickey in the center of her crown.
7. Miniature Village & Train Display
Located between Germany and Italy, off the beaten path is an adorable miniature train display. Walk along an adorable pathway and see the tiny villages and trains. This is a fun way to spend a few minutes. Plus, if you are here during Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, look for this cutest detail!
8. Stop To Play Drums
Between the China Pavilion and the Germany Pavilion is an area known at the Outpost. Stop here under the shaded canopy and play some drums. This is a timeless activity for all ages.
9. Visit The Bijutsu-kan Gallery
Visit Epcot’s cutest museum at The Bijutsu-kan Gallery in the Japan Pavilion and learn about Kawaii. See a decorated modern Tokyo apartment and the evolution of Kawaii. One notable character of Kawaii is Hello Kitty!
10. Swim With Fish & Turtles
Epcot offers various tours for guests and one often overlooked tour is the Epcot Seas Adventures – Aqua Tour. This is your chance to go snorkeling with over 6,000 sea creatures including sea turtles, angelfish and even sharks!
