Hey guys! Wow- we will make Advance Dining Reservations soon! That is, I’ll make them and hope that everything is back to normal by our trip dates. In the meantime, I’m just concentrating on my earnings!
I made copycat Oui yogurt this week. I’m still amazed at myself for that trick. I was inspired by Marisa’s post– and I had all these nifty little Oui jars just sitting around, so I googled copycat Oui yogurt recipes and away I went! Right now it was more expensive to make my own than to just buy it, but it will only take 2 batches for me to see the savings! I ended up buying these lids for my yogurt jars, which is where the bulk of my expense came from. Otherwise I just needed some whole milk, sugar, and a jar of Oui vanilla to get my starter from. My husband thought it tasted just like the real deal! I can actually use a starter from the yogurt I made, then a starter from that (up to 3 times) before I have to buy another jar of Oui.
As you look at my earnings this week, I have a few interesting items that helped bulk up my fridge and pantry. I made 40 cents to buy cheese for a study (not including my 10 cent any receipt offer from Ibotta), but the cool thing to me is now I have two packages of cheese, free! That saves me nearly $10 on my grocery budget. I also scored 2 free Russet Potatoes- and I’m never going to turn down free taters. Since I needed the potatoes anyway, I’m moving the grocery money to my fund. The cheese wasn’t a need, so only the profits go into the fund, the rest pays back the grocery fund.
I expect my secret shopping earnings to take a nose dive in the next week or two as I try not to go out for unnecessary reasons. That just means I have to make that money up from somewhere else.
