This week in Disney news we have 2 attractions closed for refurbishment and some opening early for guests. Epcot has 2 attractions closed for Refurbishment this week of June 14, 2017. While, Animal Kingdom has 2 attractions opening early for guests, due to the increase in crowds for the opening of Pandora – World of Avatar.
1. Mission Space Closed for Refurbishment
This includes the Advanced Training Lab. Mission Space is closed for refurbishment now through July 31, 2017. Mission Space at Disney’s Epcot allows guests to experience authentic NASA-style training. This is included in Disney’s June 2017 Closed for Refurbishments List.
2. Disney & PIXAR Short Film Festival Closed this week
Disney & PIXAR Short Film Festival is located at Epcot. Guests get to watch popular Disney and Pixar short films in a fun 4D way. This attraction is closed through June 19, 2017. The nature of the refurbishment is unknown.
3. Animal Trails at Disney’s Animal Kingdom & Maharajah Jungle Trek to open early
The Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail will open early, at 8:45 am for guests from June 18 – July 4.
Next at 9:00 am the Maharajah Jungle Trek will open for guests. The opening times will be kept the same with and without Extra Magic Hours and both trails will still close at 7pm.
