August 13 – Epcot’s Mission: Space Confirms New Adventures This August
Mission: Space takes an average guest and turns them into navigators, pilots and more. Now, coming in August 2017 guests can partake in new adventures. Choose from the updated Orange mission to Mars, with more intense training for daring guests. Or, try the new Green mission around Earth, which is not as intense. This attraction reopens on August 13, 2017.
August 19 – PhotoPass Day Returns at Disney World
Returning for another year, on August 19, 2017 is Disney PhotoPass Day. The first ever Disney PhotoPass Day was held in 2016. This year for its return on August 19, 2017, Disney PhotoPass Day will be bigger and better than last year. Expect: Animated Magic Shots, One-day-only Character Experiences and Photo experiences at all 4 theme parks. Meet with 9 Rare Characters on Photopass Day.
August 28 – Splash Mountain Closes For Summer 2017 Refurbishment
Splash mountain is a classic ride for guests. It will be closing for refurbishment from August 28 through November 16. With an expected re-opening of November 17, 2017.
This is out of the norm for Splash Mountain’s usual January maintenance schedule. It has not been since 2014 that Splash Mountain went under a major refurbishment.
August 31 – Epcot’s International Food & Wine Festival Begins
The 2017 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival begins on August 31 continuing through November 13, 2017. Below find a list of the 35 booths available! There are many new additions this year.
