Flamingo Crossings will be targeted to those attending ESPN World Wide of Sports Complex. Each year sports teams travel to compete at the ESPN World Wide of Sports Complex. This area will be comprised 3rd party retailers and hotels. Such as, TownePlace Suits (Marriott’s Extended Stay Brand) and SpringHill Suites (Marriott brand), both recently opened.
Flamingo Crossings Way will be located near Disney World’s western gate and it will give Disney Springs a run for its money. As the total retail space in the original plans are equal to or larger than current Disney Springs. However, Flamingo Crossings is stated to be aimed at better value, meaning more affordable shopping and fast-casual eating.
The first phase (of three) for construction of the retail space is expected to begin summer 2018. More hotels are also planned. No date set on hotels or completion dates for this project yet.
