Below are recent Disney updates, including the names of the now 2 month old cubs at Animal Kingdom. Also learn about the new entertainment in the World Showcase, Broadway Dining Packages are now open for reservation and Annual Passholders can enjoy a new perk through November.
Sumatran Tiger Cubs and Conservation
Animal Kingdom grew by two in August, 2017. Two Sumatran Tiger cubs were born. Now we can introduce by name – the male cub is named Jeda, the male cub, and female cub is Anala.
Sumatran Tigers are endangered and Disney is helping Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) and their partners to increase population by 25% over next decade. Animal Kingdom has committed $1 Million dollars towards efforts.
New Entertainment in World Showcase
Raffy is an all new entertainment act on the Mill Stage at the Canada Pavilion in the World Showcase at Epcot. This musical quartet is a high energy performance. Watch them through November 26, 2017.
Disney on Broadway Dining Packages Reservations Open
The Epcot International Festival of the Arts will be January 12-February 19, 2018. Reservations are now open for Disney on Broadway Dining Packages. Serving breakfast, lunch or dinner (3-course meal or full buffet). Prices vary by location.
Participating Restaurants:
- Royal Akershus Banquet Hall – breakfast, lunch or dinner
- The Garden Grill Restaurant – breakfast, lunch or dinner
- Rose & Crown Pub & Dining Room – lunch & dinner
- Coral Reef Restaurant – lunch & dinner
Reserved Concert Seating for Disney Annual Passholders
Annual Passholders can enjoy reserved seating at Eat to the Beat Concert Series from now through November 13. This is offered on a first-come, first serve basis. Visit the Annual Passholder button pick-up location inside of the Festival Center to get your badge for the show: 5:30, 6:45, or 8 p.m.
