If you are trying to figure out an Option For Large Families at a Walt Disney World Resort, I have a very interesting solution. A few companies in the Orlando area rent RVs that they will come and set up on your rented camp site at Ft. Wilderness. The rates are for the camper only. You also have to take into account the amount of your camp site at Ft. Wilderness (which you are responsible for renting).
MyRVHotel.com will set up one of their RVs on your rented camp site at Ft. Wilderness campgrounds. You can choose from 3 different RV types and they sleep up to 10 people.
One of the biggest perks of renting the RV is that you get a kitchen where you can prepare your meals which will cut down on your dining bill. Plus some of these are really NICE!

This was how my large family went as a child ! We loved it !!!! The ablitly to cook helped so much plus all of the park perks the movie and smores and pool where amazing !
can you get the dining plan or free dining if its offered?
You can only get the free dining if you stay in one of the cabins, but you can pay for the dining plan if you camp.
Camping World and El Monte RV rent RVs as well. I don’t have any experience renting from them but they do rent in Orlando.
So by doing this you’d be able to utilize extended park hours because you’re technically on Disney property right?
That’s right Kerry. You get a parking pass for the parks and can take advantage of extra magic hours. Fort Wilderness is an awesome campground! There’s a ton to do there and it’s nice to stay close to the parks but somewhere it’s quiet and laid back. :)
Thanks for this. We are planning a cross-country roadtrip next summer that is going to include Disney……this will be perfect for us. I love your site!
