5 Reasons To Use Your Own Vehicle
Here is what we do:
After many trips to Disney World, we have discovered that driving to Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios and Epcot is very easy especially if you go at Rope Drop like we do. We are able to park fairly close to the entrance of these parks and can easily walk to the turnstiles without having to load up on the tram. However, we do not find driving to the Magic Kingdom to be a productive experience since their parking lot is not located near the entrance to the park (you have to take the ferry or Monorail over). So we always take the bus to that park.
We would likely not take our own car if we didn’t have a little one with a stroller and a bunch of bags. I hate folding up the stroller and trying to deal with it on the buses.
Here is what other Couponing to Disney readers do:
We drove so we had a car available and used it to run to the store or gas station a few times during our trip. But to get around Disney we used Disney transportation. It never seemed to take us more than 20 to 30 minutes to get where we needed to be and it guaranteed we wouldn’t get lost! – Heather
Disney. Save gas/money. Easy to get in and out of parks. Bus is already cool when u get on 😜 don’t have to wait for a car to cool down. – Marsha
We’ve done both, but this last time we went back to using the Disney busses. So much less stress trying to navigate around. We drive our own car there, so that wasn’t an issue. – Lisa
Mix of both. When the girls were babies (2 & 4 now) it was much easier in our own car. Now we lug less stuff and they like Disney transportation so we use it more. – Tanya
We drive down anyway, so we have our car there. If we are staying at one of the MK resorts, we like to take transportation to EPCOT and MK. The others we like to drive to. – Donna
We drove from KC and did a 3 night Universal trip first and then drove to Disney. We used our car only once while at Disney and that was to drive to Cape May for breakfast. We left our car there and took the bus to AK and then drove back to our resort at the end of day. – Angie
We used our own because we drove down and since we have little ones and a stroller, it made better sense to us. Our kids are 9, 3, and 2, one is autistic, so having a familiar safe space at the beginning and end of each day was vital. – Caitlyn
Our own.. Easier with stroller and baby and we always get a seat! Can come and go as we please.. – Jen
For Magic Kingdom, we take the bus. Otherwise we drive. – Brandy
Disney’s – so much easier. – Doris
