My experience:
We ate here for lunch and it was amazing! The turkey sandwich is so good. The kids really liked it too.
You would probably also enjoy eating at Cinderella’s Royal Table.

We ate dinner here in the ballroom in the middle of December. The Beast is available for pictures in the library, and he comes down every hour or so to “greet” the guests. But he doesn’t come through to each table as they do at character breakfasts (the tables are too close for that). The food was pretty good (especially the french onion soup). And the atmosphere was worth it. Hope this helps!

I guess I am in the minority of being fine with this restaurant not having characters. With my mix of boys and girls (4boys, 2 girls). this is a great compromise. The older 2 are now Disney “adults” and really do not want to eat with the princesses and the girls are looking forward to eating in a castle. I also think this is away for moms of boys only to have a “princess” experience without pricessesand have unhappy sons. Not only that, but if there are too many character meals in one park, it takes away from some of the specialness of the restaurants that to have characters.

I agree with you Sandra. I think my kids would be happy just eating in the castle and they have a chance to see Belle in several other places. I do the character meals because my kids like them, but I honestly don’t like them as much as other sit down meals – I feel like the food is lacking (especially on the buffets) and I always feel so rushed, like I have to run to get food when I know a character is not on the way. I am looking forward to trying a meal with some storybook elements, like the castle, without the actual characters.

I am amazed that they are not going to have characters here, especially for dinner. It would cost about $100 for my family to dine there. I can’t justify that cost without the characters!
