As you know, Mulan is now available for Premier Access on Disney+ at $29.99. Then, they made the announcement Mulan will be FREE for Disney+ users to watch upcoming December 2020. With the fee attached, it was unclear how well the paid version would perform.
Turns out, it was a smart move by Disney+. According to Reelgood, Disney’s Mulan live-action did better than Hamilton during its premiere weekend. Disney’s Mulan made up 15% of all streams premiere weekend. In comparison, Hamilton made up just 9.68% on opening weekend.
Reported by Samba TV (tracking company for smart TVs), says Disney’s Mulan has been seen in more than 1 million USA homes with an estimated in $33.5 million dollar revenue.
