Hello, Couponing to Disney readers! I’m Carrie, and I visit you here each week on Couponing to Disney to share some Frequently Asked Questions about Disney travel. Currently, I am at the beginning of a HUGE series about the Disney Resorts. Staying at a Walt Disney World Resort is really part of the experience! We are starting with the Deluxe Tier resorts. So far we’ve visited the Disney’s Boardwalk Inn, Disney’s Beach Club Resort, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, and Disney’s Contemporary and Bay Lake Tower Resort. Today, we are going to look at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.
Is Disney’s Polynesian Resort “kid friendly”?
Yes! First, its location makes it very family friendly. There is nothing better than hopping on the monorail and going right to Magic Kingdom or EPCOT. You can also see the fireworks from the beach at the Polynesian. Which means you don’t need to fight the crowds in the park! And, the pool is fantastic for kids! The previous pool had a fun volcano theme and a play area for children. After the refurbishment, I’m sure it will be better than ever!
What is something unique about staying at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort?
Many guests don’t realize that the Polynesian Village Resort is extra special early in the day. Getting up and enjoying a walk on the beach in the morning, seeing the boats and monorail do their test runs, and enjoying the quiet sounds of the Hawaiian music is a great experience!
Does Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort offer a Concierge Level of rooms?
Yes, as with all the Deluxe Resorts, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort offers a Concierge Level. This is keyed off from the rest of the resort, and offers extra amenities. You have access to breakfast in the morning, snacks and appetizers during the day and evening, and drinks at night. It is a great experience for Disney guests!
What are my dining options at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort?
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is home to several dining locations. Kona Cafe {which I LOVE for breakfast} is a great spot to enjoy a yummy breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The famous O’hana is home to the Lilo and Stitch Best Friends Breakfast, and a fantastic dinner experience. There are no characters at O’hana for dinner, but the food is delish and you can sometimes get a good view for the fireworks. For quick meals, there is Captain Cook’s. Also, the Luau Cove is home to the Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show.
Can I walk from Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort to Magic Kingdom?
No, unfortunately not. You need to take the monorail to the Magic Kingdom.
