Over the weekend, I was looking online at Christmas decorations and I thought “How cute would an elf clothesline be!?” I found several pictures of Santa clotheslines, but nothing for elves. This was so easy to make and if you want, you can get your kids involved and they will love being able to cut out the elf clothes. You can hang it over your fireplace, over a door, across the kitchen… anywhere you need some extra Christmas cheer!
To make the clothes, I just used felt that I found at the craft store and cut out the clothes. If you want, you can sew the little “extras” on like the belt and trim, but I used iron on seam tape that I had left over from the No Sew Valance I posted a few months ago. I also found little tiny clothespins at the craft store (I found them at Hobby Lobby but I’m sure Michael’s or somewhere else has them as well). The clothesline is just white yarn that I taped on the mantel and covered with the holly I put up there every Christmas. I love how this turned out!
