When you are working on your plan of what Fastpass+ reservations you want to make, here are my recommendations for Fastpass+ attractions for 4 – 6 year olds at Disney World.
Magic Kingdom
Peter Pan’s Flight – This classic attraction is a must for this age group. They will love flying over London and on to Neverland. Little girls will be thrilled when they spot the mermaids and little boys will love the pirate scene.
Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid – All kids will enjoy riding in a clam shell through the scenes from the Little Mermaid. You’ll even have a chance to go under the sea yourself.
Meet and Greets – There are popular character meet and greets that you definitely want to Fastpass+ to avoid the lines. Choose from Cinderella with Aurora and Rapunzel with Tiana, Ariel at her Grotto (she’s in mermaid form here) or Mickey Mouse at Town Square Theater (he talks!).
Honorable mentions:
- Dumbo (although I would plan to ride this one in the afternoon and play on the playground in the queue)
- Barnstormer
- Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
- Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
- Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
- Splash Mountain
- Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin
- Space Mountain
- Tomorrowland Speedway
Epcot
Frozen Ever After – This popular attraction has a long standby line. Your best bet is to Fastpass it and head straight to Soarin’ at opening. (Tier 1)
Meet Disney Pals at Epcot Character Spot – Here you can meet Mickey, Minnie and Goofy. Use your Fastpass+ to spend minimal time in line. (Tier 1)
The Seas with Nemo and Friends – While you really don’t need a Fastpass+ for this one, you are required to book 3 Fastpass+. I found Fastpass+ at Turtle Talk with Crush to be an absolute joke (you are just guaranteed access into the regular queue), so this is the best option for this age group. (Tier 2)
Spaceship Earth – Take a slow moving (dark at times) ride through the advancement of communication. Lines can get long early in the morning. (Tier 2)
Hollywood Studios
Toy Story Mania – This is an absolute must! Kids of all ages will love this attraction and if you don’t book a Fastpass+, you are looking at up to 2 hours in line. (Tier 1)
Slinky Dog Dash – ride in the coils of Slinky on this family friendly roller coaster. (Tier 1)
Voyage of the Little Mermaid – This stage show is very cute and everyone will love it. (Tier 2)
For the First Time In Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration – If your child loves Frozen, they will love this stage show. (Tier 2)
Honorable mentions:
- Disney Junior Dance Party!
- Star Tours: The Adventure Continues
- Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
Animal Kingdom
Kilimanjaro Safaris – Enjoy a tour of the savanna in Africa. You never know what you might spot along the way! Book your Fastpass+ for 10-11 am. (Tier 2)
Kali River Rapids – If your kids are 38 inches tall, they will love getting soaked on this attraction. Be sure to book it for right before you leave the park. (Tier 2)
Na’vi River Journey – A magnificent, slow moving, boat ride through a bioluminescent rainforest. It is great for all ages. But if your little one isn’t scared of heights or thrill rides, go with Flight of Passage. (Tier 1)
Mickey and Minnie at Adventurers Outpost – This is the only location in Walt Disney World where Mickey and Minnie greet guests together. You can get some very adorable photos of your kids here! (Tier 2)
