Shopping small businesses is one of my favorite things to do! As a consumer, we have a choice in where we spend our hard earned money. Over at the Cave Of Wonders Jason (Kristin’s husband’s store), seeks out other small businesses products to carry. They range from bath products to kitchen gadgets and everything in between. By supporting the Cave Of Wonders you are supporting 2 small businesses in one transaction. That transaction allows Jason to seek out other small businesses to work with. It is one beautiful circle of shop small commerce!

Treat House Rice Krispy Treats are an easy way to surprise a loved one with a treat from miles away! You can order the treat and have it shipped anywhere. Nothing says I am thinking about you like a sweet treat. My favorite thing about Treat House is that its a family business. The idea was born from wanting to help less fortunate children with a bake sale. It has grown from one small act of kindness to an ongoing support for charities helping those in need.
The idea for Treat House was inspired by a charitable bake sale that the Russell family had in 2011. The proceeds went to provide athletic equipment for impoverished children in Africa. Giving back to our greater community has always been key to Treat House’s mission. For the first year of business, Treat House donated 10 cents for every treat sold to the Food Bank of NY.
Starting in 2015 Treat House formed a partnership with the Lymphoma and Leukemia Society. They take great pride in bringing some cheer to cancer sufferers who cannot even afford their medical co-pays or even transportation to their doctors. As they continue to grow, they are dedicated to establishing new and impactful charitable relationships that will retain the same spirit of the initial bake sale in 2011 that started it all.
