This tip comes from my reader Sherrill….
Most people think about plastic gallon storage bags and ONLY think about the zipper variety. But you can buy a box of the regular old twist tie variety for a fraction of the cost. Usually a box of 100 will be cheaper (at say Wal-Mart) than 20 or so of the “zipper” kind. Besides being a cheaper way to store many items, these are PERFECT for wrapping baked good items for fundraisers (think school, church, etc.). A dessert size plate filled with your goodies fits down perfectly in these bags. Close with a twist tie (leave some air at the top) and then some curling ribbon for an excellent presentation, and you won’t have to worry about plastic wrap sticking to frosting or fudge. :)

My mother always wraps breads and baked goods in these kinds of bags, but I have no clue where she finds them. I never see them anywhere.
I have never seen the none zipper bags in gallon size
They may be the one’s that come on a roll?
Oh great idea!!
