Mickey’s Toontown in Disneyland is gearing up to undergo a reimagining, to be completed early 2023.
Coming to Mickey’s Toontown are new play experiences and open grassy play spaces for little ones to unwind and more. The focus will be geared towards families with young children, relaxation areas for parents and opportunities for spontaneous fun!

Now we have the date of Mickey’s Toontown closing on March 9, 2022. Look forward to the reopening after the refurb is completed early 2023, same timing as Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway debut!
Here is what JoshD’Amaro Chairman,Disney Parks, had to say on the reimagining:
“We are so excited to leverage Disney’s powerful brand, develop new stories and share even more magical experiences with our guests,” said D’Amaro. “The newly reimagined Mickey’s Toontown will be a welcoming place where families and younger guests can connect and play together in fun new ways.”
An all-new area to look forward to is named CenTOONial Park. This will be the first thing guests see when entering Mickey’s Toontown early 2023. This area will feature a play fountain and a dreaming tree structure.
