While searching the internet the other day for recipes, I got frustrated and decided to sit down and come up with some of my own slow cooker ideas. I found a recipe similar to this one, but it had some ingredients in there I knew my kids wouldn’t like. So I made up my own version and they loved it so much. They asked for seconds and complimented me on how yummy it was.
- 2 lb. boneless beef chuck shoulder roast
- 3 sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1" circles
- 2 small onions, diced
- 2 apples, cored and sliced
- ½ c. beef broth
- 2 minced garlic gloves
- 1 tsp. salt
- ½ tsp. black pepper
- Trim fat from roast and cut into 2" pieces.
- Place roast pieces and the remaining ingredients into slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 8-9 hours.
