Splash Mountain in Disneyland is a log flume ride featuring a 52 foot drop (that’s 5 stories!). The ride is very calm in the begin and takes you past scenes from the 1946 movie Song of the South featuring 100 audio-animatronic characters. When Br’er Rabbit is captured, he tricks Br’er Bear and Br’er Fox into thinking he is afraid of the Briar Patch (located at the bottom of the drop) when it is really his Laughing Place.

Secrets/Tips and Tricks:
- Guests ride single file in a log flume. Each log holds 5-6 people.
- This is a pretty lazy ride. It winds in and out of a “forest” as you see the different Characters from the movie Song of the South.
- The surprise comes in the 52 foot drop with speeds up to 40 mph
- There is a single rider line. You will need to enter through the exit to access it
- If you don’t want to get too wet, you can wear a poncho
- The front rider will get the most wet
