Walt Disney Imagineering is gearing up for another TRON Lightcycle/Run attraction major milestone!
The TRON Lightcycle/ Run will be a coasters-style attraction, guests will ride in 2-wheeled Lightcycles for a thrilling race. This attraction will be housed in an all-new area near Space Mountain. Guests will ride in a two-wheeled Lightcycle vehicle for this coaster style attraction. Shanghai Disneyland already has a similar attraction, opened in 2016.
Guests of Magic Kingdom will be the first to the ride vehicles being tested on the track. The next phase is a process called, “push/pull”, sections of the seven-vehicle train will be slowly moved throughout the entire ride track. This process will begin once the track is fully completed. The vehicle trains will test at incremental speeds, eventually working up to testing at full speed launches!
