While Disney World is home to some of the best attractions in the world, however not all rides are created equally. Below are 10 attractions at Walt Disney World that do not make the cut to some guests anymore. Do you agree with any of these 10 worst attractions at Walt Disney World?
Note: This is not necessarily a reflection of my personal opinion. It is just meant to make you think.
1. Mission Space
Mission Space is located at Epcot and it takes guests on a motion simulator journey. There are 2 tracks to choose from. This attraction was recently update, if previously if was on your worst attractions to visit it may be worth another chance now reading RELAUNCHED! Mission: SPACE on the Disney website. However for those claustrophobic, it is still best to avoid.
2. Muppet Vision 3D
For some the allure of the Muppets has passed. This area is no longer known as Muppets Courtyard, now named Grand Avenue. However, Muppet Vision 3D has held its location since 1991, just 2 years after Hollywood Studio’s park opening.
3. Astro Orbiter
Astro Orbiter is the same concept of Dumbo & The Magic Carpets of Aladdin (Magic Kingdom). However, Astro Orbiter has guests flying even higher above the crowd, as an elevator is required to get to this attraction. Many choose to pass flying high above Tomorrowland.
4. it’s a small world
Al though a classic to many, it is despised by some. No matter how you feel about its a small world at Magic Kingdom, many will agree the song gets stuck in your head. Thus, some guests choose to skip this one.
5. Tomorrowland Speedway
Guests must be 32 inches to go on this attraction. This attraction is on a set track and cars do not go very fast, those looking for a faster paced ride choose not to race the Tomorrowland Speedway at Magic Kingdom.
6. Dinosaur
Some guests do not find taking a journey back in time with the Dinosaur’s. This attraction includes loud sounds and low lighting at times. Dinosaur opened the same year as the parks location, Animal Kingdom, and some find it dated. Al though it does feature an on-ride photo opportunity.
7. Kali River Rapids
Kali River Rapids is located at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Guests must be at least 38 inches tall to ride. Some guests choose to pass by this one to avoid having to walk around the park wet, especially on days when weather is less than ideal.
8. Primeval Whirl
The Primeval Whirl is a roller coaster type attraction that has guests sitting in a circle cart around each other. Not only does this attraction feature small drops, guests are spinning throughout the ride as well. Some guests find this attraction to jarring.
9. Mad Tea Party
Mad Tea Party, otherwise known as the Tea Cups at Magic Kingdom makes the top worst attractions for some guests. This is do the fact of the spinning motion behind the essence of this ride.
10. The Hall of Presidents
Al though the history and animatronics are great, The Hall of Presidents is a time commitment, at a half hour long.

I agree with a small world ride song but I enjoyed the ride. I did not like the hunted mansion (although, it’s one of my friend’s favourite) or Winnie the Pooh ride. Did you know Universal has a drying booth by their water rides I wish Disney did them.
Another ride that is really dated is A Bugs Life. Film quality is terrible and faded. I used to love it but this last visit was disappointing. If they improved the video, we would love this again.
Primeval Whirl is one of my favorites. It is a fun, giggly but not intense ride and I love it. I never miss Small World. It would just not be the Magic Kingdom without it. I agree with the rest and I am glad Figment did not make your worst list. I still enjoy that and it usually seems to make every worst list.
Two of the “worst” Disney attractions are two of our most favorite ones. Each time we go to Magic Kingdom during our stay, the Speedway is the first ride we head to. Same with the Muppets at Hollywood Studios. Been going to see that since 1997 and it still amuses and entertains us.
And I’m not really sure what the beef is with Astro Orbiter. Because it’s higher up and you need to take an elevator to get to it, that makes it one of the “worst” attractions at Disney???? I should being able to be that high and view the park would be a plus, not a minus.
And people know going into it that you’re going to get wet on the Kali River ride. That’s the appeal of it!
I guess what makes an attraction the “worst” is highly subjective because we love a lot of the ones on this list.
I gasped to see Small World on this list. I know many dislike it but it brings me such happiness for a few minutes when the rest of the world is so cruel. It brings me peace to see all of the happy little dancers singing together.
I love It’s a Small World and Muppets 3D. Both good places to beat the summer heat and remember simpler times.
I agree with the author about Stitch’s Great Escape, however, when she says “Stitch’s Great Escape has guests seated, with a harness overhead (that really serves no purpose) while in the dark at times.”, I have to comment that the harness is a holdover from when this ride was first built as the “ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter”.
I can still remember taking my then 9 year old son (He’s 30 now) into that ride. Those harnesses were there to keep guests from trying to escape the sheer terror of having a gigantic alien with teeth and nails eat you alive while sitting in the pitch dark. I have to say I was tempted to bolt while listening to my hind brain tell me “run Forrest, run” Meanwhile my son was screaming and trying to tear my arm out of its socket trying to get away. LOL
Needless to say, Disney must have realized how intense this was and decided to put cute little Stitch inside the incarceration tube in the center of the theater. They must have figured that leaving the seats (with the attached harnesses) alone and not replacing them, saved a lot of money and might heighten the Stitch experience.
Dinosaur, Small World and Mad Tea Party were three of my favorites. Small World was lame but it was cute at the same time. Dinosaur was amazing.
I love Primal Whirl, It’s A Small World, Muppets, Kali, Mission: Space. Not at all interested in Stitch. The others are I can take it or leave it depending on time & mood.
It’s A Small World? Really? What a fun and relaxing ride for all ages.
Sorry it’s on this list. I love it!
Stitch at Disneyland Paris is SO much better and FUNNY! — they should absolutely replace the lame MK experience with this version: http://www.disneylandparis.co.uk/entertainment/walt-disney-studios-park/stitch-live/
Ouch! Muppet Vision in the “worst” column?? That attraction never gets old to us – we giggle every time!
I would add Frozen ever after to the list. What a waste of time. The story makes no sense and the original Norway ride was much more exciting and interesting. It is a One And Done for us.
I agree with Susan Frozen was a waste of time. I only went on it because it was our last day at Epcot and that was the only FP I could get. Once was good for me.
I agree completely. We loved the Maelstrom. Frozen? Been there, done that.
