You may save a few bucks by staying off-site for your Disney World Vacation. However, the benefits of staying on site may just outweigh those savings. To be included in the “Disney bubble” (by never having to leave Disney World property) makes your Disney vacation is completely immersive. Also, consider the 7 benefits of staying at a Walt Disney World resort below.
1. Themed Pools
The pools at Walt Disney World Resort are my favorite. From fun to luxurious, Disney pools have it all. The best pools at Disney World include: Beach Pool at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, Big Blue Pool at Disney’s Art of Animation, at Stormalong Bay at Disney’s beach Club Resort and more. The Moderate and Deluxe resort pools also feature a water slide.
2. Transportation
For those staying on site (at a Walt Disney World Resort), from the moment you start your vacation on property guests do not have to worry about driving anywhere. Plus, for those who arrive by plane, the Magical Express provides transportation to and from the airport (Orlando International Airport) and your hotel and your luggage will be delivered to your room. Once at your resort, busses and even the monorail or a boat provide all your transportation needs to the parks and Disney Springs.
3. Free Dining Plan
If you find dates that work for your next vacation during a Free Dining Plan promotion, this is a huge benefit to staying on Disney property. Disney World offers 3 levels of the Dining Plan: Quick Service, Disney Dining Plan & Deluxe Dining Plan. If you are on the fence about trying the dining plan, a free promotion is a great deal to look for.
4. Extra Magic Hours
Extra Magic Hours are exclusive to those guests staying at a Walt Disney World resort. Check park hours during your travel dates to see which “Extra Magic Hours” are being offered. These allow guests either early entry, or late stay at a Disney Park. At least one park will have Extra Magic Hours daily.
5. Early Fastpass+ Booking
For those guests who choose to stay on site, enjoy the benefit of booking your Fastpass+ 60 days out from your 1st day of vacation (and up to 10 days thereafter). As oppose to non-resort guests who can only book at 30 days out earliest. On your 60 day mark be ready at 7am EST to grab the most sought after Fastpass+ such as Avatar – Flight of Passage and Frozen Ever After.
6. Magic Band
Your Magic Band is your key to the parks, your hotel room and can even be used for purchases. For WDW Resort guests a standard MagicBand is included with your stay. Al though they are not designed, guests do get to choose their own colors each and your name will be printed on the inside. Making it a fun souvenir after your vacation. Decals can be purchased on Etsy for as little a $1.00 to decorate your plain Magic Band.
7. Character Wake up Call
Disney even makes wake up calls fun, with the option of a Character wake up call. To request a wake up call at Disney let the front desk know or simply look for the wake-up call button on the phone in your room. You will then receive a wake up call from a pre-recorded character’s voice. There is no choice in characters, therefore it will be a surprise.
