Disney World has many restaurants, from quick service and lounge to sit down and signature. Plus many opportunities to snack – morning, an afternoon pick me up or a late night snack. Below are snacks and foods from Disney World that I love, and I think you will too. Consider these 7 food choices next time you visit Disney World. How many have you tried?
1. Funnel Cake
Head to Epcot to customize and pick up your funnel cake. Go for a just sugar topped funnel cake or choose to add on ice cream, chocolate sauce or a Cookies n’ Cream special funnel cake. The Funnel Cake kiosk is found in the World Showcase at the American Pavilion. This sweet treat is the perfect afternoon pick me up, especially after walking Epcot. Plus, they even have a Funnel Cake Gift Kit to purchase as a souvenir, how fun!
2. Pizza
If your group is a fan of pizza, than Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza is a must try. I love the Build your own Pizza option. This option allows guests to choose from 40 different toppings & sauces to create a personal pizza. Or choose from one of their perfect combination, Signature Pizzas. Find Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza in the Town Center area of Disney Springs.
3. Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich
The Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich served with a Chocolate-Hazelnut Spread can be found at Sleepy Hollow. Enjoy this sweet treat at Sleepy Hollow with fantastic a side view of Cinderella’s Castle in Magic Kingdom. Or try the Sweet and Spicy Chicken Waffle Sandwich for a non-sweet snack option.
4. Indian-style Bread Service with all Nine Accompaniments
The Indian-style Bread Service with Accompaniments is a favorite appetizer for those visiting Sanaa. First, choose your bread: Traditional Naan, Garlic-Ginger Naan, Spiced Naan, Onion Kucha, or Paneer Paratha. Then choose either 3 accompaniments or all 9 from: Roasted Red Pepper Hummus, Mango Chutney, Tomato-Date Jam, Tamarind Chutney, Coriander Chuntey, Garlic Pickle, Red Chile Sambal, or Spicy Jalapeño-Lime Pickle. This is not only filling and can be shared, but an experience as well. For this appetizer (lunch or dinner) make a reservation at Sanaa inside Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge.
5. Beignets
For this unique treat, guests will have to visit Port Orleans French Quarter and head to the food court. Consider taking a boat from Disney Springs to the Port Orleans French Quarter Resort. This resort, and its sister resort – Port Orleans Riverside are perfect for an afternoon stroll.
6. Barbeque
Take a break from hamburgers and cheeseburgers and discover smokehouse chicken and meat dishes. Plus all the sides, from signature baked beans and Cole slaw to the Jalapeño cornbread make for a satisfying meal. Find Flame Tree Barbecue at Discovery Island in Animal Kingdom.
7. Blueberry Cream Cheese Mouse
This out of this world treat can be found at Pandora – World of Avatar in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. This dessert, at Satu’li Canteen, has a lot going on: it’s Mousse, with cream cheese topping, Blueberry flavoring plus the dash of Passion Fruit Curd. With so many colors this is one of the prettiest desserts on property, perfect for snapping a photo of and almost too pretty to eat.
