Hello Couponing to Disney readers! I’m Carrie, vacation specialist with Destinations in Florida, an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner, and I visit you each week here on Couponing to Disney to answer some Disney FAQs. I love hanging out on Couponing to Disney every week with you, answering questions about the Happiest Place on Earth! Last week we talked about Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park. Today, let’s look at EPCOT. EPCOT is second of the four Walt Disney World Theme Parks, and is a favorite for many guests!
What are the areas of EPCOT?
EPCOT has two main areas in the park. Future World is where you will enter EPCOT if you use the main park entrance. This area is focused mainly on technology and science. Here you can enjoy some great attractions like Test Track, Soarin’ and Spaceship Earth. World Showcase is the second area of EPCOT. You can access this area from the World Showcase entrance, just past the Beach Club Resort.
What transportation does Disney provide to EPCOT?
EPCOT is accessible by both Disney motor coaches and the monorail. The Monorail look runs between EPCOT and Magic Kingdom. You would need a Disney motor coach to Animal Kingdom. To access Disney’s Hollywood Studios from EPCOT, you can take a motor coach or you can walk.
How long should I plan on spending at EPCOT?
Disney’s EPCOT Park has some amazing attractions and hidden gems in the World Showcase. I would recommend a day or a day and a half in your Disney Park time for EPCOT. We like to spend a whole day at the park to enjoy Future World, some of World Showcase, and Illuminations. Then return for a half day at least to do our favorites again and wander the World Showcase some more. Plus, World Showcase allows great fun for the kids who want to enjoy the Passport experience in EPCOT’s World Showcase!
Can I use my Disney Dining Plan at EPCOT?
Yes! I think that EPCOT is a great place to enjoy so much of the awesomeness that Disney offers in dining. In the World Showcase, there are amazing restaurants and places to try fun snacks from around the world. I suggest using a table service credit or your snack credits at EPCOT. Coral Reef, Via Napoli, Biergarten, Kringle Bakery in Norway, and Akershus are among my favorites.
What are some “not to miss” attractions at EPCOT?
Soarin’ and Test Track are amongst the “must dos” at EPCOT. Plus, everyone wants to take a ride on Spaceship Earth and go all the way up in the famous park icon.
