If you are going to Animal Kingdom for the first time you definitely don’t want to miss any of the best experiences. Here are 12 things to do on your first visit to Animal Kingdom:
1. Festival of the Lion King – This incredible Broadway type show will keep you on the edge of your seat the entire time. The tumble monkeys will keep you in stitches and the flame twirler will definitely make you wonder how on earth he does it.
2. Kali River Rapids – Enjoy water rides? This family raft ride is definitely a fun experience. Just be ready to get soaked!
3. Kilimanjaro Safaris – This unique experience takes you up close and personal with a variety of animals including elephants, African wild dogs and zebras.
4. Up! A Great Bird Adventure – This stage show is staring a variety of birds and Russel & Dug from Up.
5. Expedition Everest – If you are a thrill seeker, this roller coaster will have you screaming in terror/delight. It is inside a mountain inhabited by a Yeti who makes it his mission to get you out as fast as he can.
6. Flight Of Passage – If you can not grab a Fastpass+, get to Animal Kingdom at rope drop to get in line for this one. It is an incredible journey on the back of a banshee.
7. Tree of Life paths – Take one of the many paths around the Tree of Life to get up close to the incredible carvings. They aren’t very popular so it is a great place to duck away from the crowds.
8. Tusker House – This character meal stars Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Mickey. The buffet is all you can eat African inspired dishes as well as a few American favorites.
9. Wilderness Explorer – The kids will have fun completing educational activities around Animal Kingdom. It will also take you into areas you might not have ventured if you weren’t participating.
10. DiVine – If you can spot her, this walking vine (it’s actually a human dressed as a vine) will keep you riveted in place as you watch her perform.
11. Swotu Wayä Na’vi Drum Ceremony – At various times through out the day guests may head to watch a traditional Na’vi Drum Ceremony, in Pandora, performed by musicians. Other times, guests may try the drums out for themselves.
12. Na’vi River Journey – Perfect for all ages. This family friendly boat ride takes guests through the beautiful bioluminescent rainforest.
