Cinderella’s Castle is a must do for anyone visiting Walt Disney World. This iconic fairytale palace, inspired by the Disney classic, Cinderella, sits in the center of Magic Kingdom Park. It is breathtaking, tearjerking, and magical all at the same time. So what can you do at Cinderella’s Castle? You would be surprised how quickly this park icon can become a “must do” on your next Walt Disney World trip!
Take pictures. This is the most important and beautiful picture spot for your Disney trip. I love the many angles and aspects you can get of the castle, just from the outside! Start about halfway down Main Street USA with the whole image of the castle in the background. From there, make your way closer, taking other photos. Don’t forget the back side of the castle! This piece is just as beautiful!
Cinderella’s Wishing Well. This is another great picture spot, and is located on the walkway between Cinderella’s Castle and Tomorrowland. This is a perfect “quiet spot” to take a break from the busyness of Magic Kingdom and enjoy some down time on the benches here. Don’t forget to check out the details designed in the wishing well. You’ll see the mice, Lucifer, and other magical details from the movie.
Cinderella’s Royal Table. Located inside Cinderella’s Castle, and up a winding regal staircase, is the famous Cinderella’s Royal Table. I am of the mindset that a meal at the Royal Table is a must do on at least one Walt Disney World trip. It takes two table service meals, and the experience is unforgettable. Providing a storybook setting for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, guests are greeted by Cinderella and visited by her princess friends during the meal.
Inside Cinderella’s Castle. Have you ever looked closely inside the castle? The mosaics are made from over a million pieces of Italian glass in 500 colors! They tell, in great picture detail, the story of Cinderella and Prince Charming. These are definitely something to see! Not only can you see the mosaics, but the Disney family coat of arms is on display in the castle as well.
Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire. This is the current live show that takes place multiple times a day at the castle stage. Mickey and his friends perform alongside classic and contemporary Disney characters to tell the story of friendship.
Celebrate with the Nighttime Fireworks. Both of these events occur during the evening at Magic Kingdom Park. Cinderella’s Castle is the backdrop for these amazing, nighttime magic makers. The castle is lit up and shows scenes from favorite Disney classics and modern films and characters. These are a perfect ending to a Disney day!
