Epcot has 2 main parts to its park, Future World and the World Showcase. Epcot can certainly be a full day park with activities for the whole family to enjoy. Now read, 40 things to do at Epcot from open to closing.
1. Check for a Festival. Chances are if you are visiting Epcot, there is a festival going on. Learn the 4 yearly festivals of Epcot, with approximate dates. The festivals bring added entertainment, photo opportunities, merchandise and food.
2. Fly around the World on Soarin’ Around the World. Found in the Future World is this thrilling hang-gliding experience attraction. Fly over well known landmarks from around the World.
3. Take a relaxing boat ride on Living with the Land. Get a relaxing and educational ride on this attraction for all ages, through Epcot’s greenhouses and fish farms.
4. Take a NASA-Style mission to Mars. Guests can leave Earth for Mars on Mission: Space. Or guests can choose a more gentle path and orbit the Earth. Then, visit the Advanced Training Lab for interactive opportunities.
5. Feel the emotions when you meet with Joy & Sadness. Find the pair in Innoventions West in Future World. Here is a list of questions to ask.
6. Stop to Jam in Future World. The JaMMitors perform throughout the day in Future World East. Listen to the rhythm as they drum on unlikely instruments.
7. Design your own car and then test it on Test Track. Guests will design their own virtual concept car and then take it on a thrilling ride.
8. Let Figment take you on a journey into Imagination. On the classic attraction, Journey into the Imagination with Figment guests will find a fun ride for all ages. This attraction also rarely has a long wait time.
9. See the backwards waterfall. Outside the Imagination Pavilion is a waterfall that flows backwards, up instead of down. It is quite a sight to see! The Canada pavilion also has a waterfall (al though it flows normally).
10. Let your little one Splash & Play. Epcot is home to 2 Splash pads for children (bring a change of clothes). Find them outside Mission: SPACE or Innoventions. Take a break and cool down.
11. Snack around the World for under $50. Here is a post for Snacking Around the World for under $50. Taste something from each country!
12. Drink around the World. For guests 21+ another around the World challenge is drinking around the World Showcase. It is best to have a group to share this challenge with.
13. Take a photo with a larger than life Troll. In the Norway pavilion retail shop, guests will find a large troll to pose with. Trolls are common in Norway folktales.
14. Dine with Disney Princesses in the Norway pavilion. At Akershus Royal Banquet Hall guests can dine with Snow White, Belle, Cinderella, Ariel and Princess Aurora (subject to change). Grab a photo and autograph from Disney Princesses while enjoying a breakfast buffet or family style lunch or dinner. Advanced dining reservation highly recommended.
15. Meet Mickey Mouse & Friends at the Epcot Character Spot. Here guests will get to meet & greet with Mickey Mouse and more for pictures and autographs, in air-conditioning.
16. Try the Beverly at Club Cool. Inside Club Cool in Future World, guests can sample international sodas from around the world. The Beverly makes for an interesting taste test.
17. See an interactive Science show. The SpectacuLAB is found in Innoventions, watch a 30-minute interactive science show. Even more impressive, the show is led by actual Scientists.
18. See an acrobatic performance. In the China pavilion, guests can witness the incredible acrobatic stunts by Jeweled Dragon Acrobats.
19. Collect coins from Coin Press Machines. There are penny machines and more, put your change into the machine and crank out a souvenir.
20. Listen to voices harmonize in the American Adventure pavilion. Guests can list to the Voices of Liberty which are an 8-member a cappella group performing patriotic music. Hear, “This Land is your Land”, “Yankee Doodle Dandy” and more including perhaps, “Let it Go”.
21. Disney Visa Cardholders, check out the Cardmember exclusive Character experience. Only for Disney Visa Cardholders is an exclusive Character Experience at Epcot. Guests can see Mickey, Minnie, Pluto or Goofy and visit once per day. Complimentary downloads of your photos included.
22. Enjoy a classic Funnel Cake. Guests will find a Funnel Cake kiosk in the American Adventure pavilion. Grab a classic, or add a topping.
23. Go on a secret mission with Agent P’s World Showcase. Find the clues and complete your secret mission in select World Showcase pavilions.
24. Share a plate of nachos from La Cantina de San Angel. Guests will want to stop in the Mexico Pavilion for the best nachos in Epcot. Plus, those 21+ this eatery is also known for its Margaritas.
25. Relive the magic of Disney’s Frozen on Frozen Ever After. Guests of all ages will enjoy the Frozen Ever After boat ride in the Norway Pavilion.
26. Meet the royal sisters, Anna & Elsa. Guests have the chance to meet & greet with Anna & Elsa in their summer home, at the Norway pavilion.
27. See Donald Duck & friends on the Gran Fiesta Tour. Take a relaxing boat ride in the Mexico Pavilion and encounter the Caballeros searching for Donald Duck.
28. Become a Totem pole for photo fun. At the Canada Pavilion, guests will find a photo opportunity for up to 3 guests.
29. See entertainment at the Canada Mill Stage. Guests can hear music from live Canadian bands. Be sure to check the schedule for your day of visit.
30. Say hello in the Phone Booths at United Kingdom. There are 2 fun old fashioned phone booths by the United Kingdom pavilion. Step inside and pretend to take a phone call!
31. Try the Fish & Chips from Yorkshire County Fish Shop. This Quick Service location serves delicious Fish & Chips at a reasonable price.
32. Pick a Pearl in the Japan Pavilion. Guests can stop inside the large retail shop of the Japan Pavilion and find a Pick a Pearl experience. Cost is around $20 to pick your own oyster and keep the pearl inside!
33. Discover the cutest museum in Epcot. The Kawaii Museum is found in the Japan Pavilion, celebrating Japan’s Kawaii (cute) culture.
34. Let your nose lead you to caramel popcorn. Step inside Karamell-Kuche at the Germany pavilion for the smell of fresh caramel and popcorn. Then purchase your own bag of Werther’s original caramel covered popcorn.
35. Discover French treats at L’Artisan des Glaces. The Macaroon ice cream sandwich is a sweet treat to sink your teeth into while browsing the beauty of the France pavilion.
36. Get a picture at the water fountain in the France pavilion. The beautiful water fountain is the perfect photo op, with Epcot’s version of the Eiffel Tower in the background. Epcot’s Eiffel Tower is a 1/10th scale to the original, it stands at 103′ tall.
37. Get a free souvenir from Kidcot Fun Stops. In each country guests will find Kidcot Fun Stops. Children can collect cards and color them, while learning facts about each country’s pavilion. Plus, collect a stamp from a Cast Member.
38. Meet & Greet with characters in the World Showcase. Epcot’s World Showcase is currently home to 8 meet & greets! Meet Belle in France, Snow White in Germany and more.
39. Take a Ride in the ball. The park icon of Epcot, Spaceship Earth, is also an attraction! Take a 16-minute journey through communication technology.
40. See the Nighttime Entertainment. Epcot’s long running show, IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth will end Summer 2019. Then a temporary show, Epcot Forever will light up the night until a permanent nighttime spectacular takes stage 2020.
