Our kid joined us for the Backlot Express Review. If you are craving a good hamburger during your day at Hollywood Studios, Backlot Express is the place to go. They also make a delicious cuban sandwich. Check Disney’s menu before you go to make sure they still offer it.
They do ask you to utilize mobile ordering and to have your order alert you that it’s ready before you are able to enter the restaurant. I spent time in line for Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway working on our order. I hit “prepare my order” as we were walking towards the restaurant.
The kids wanted the 1/3 lb Angus Cheeseburger. It was a good hamburger and they were happy with their choice.
I chose the Backlot Express Cuban Sandwich. It is something different that you don’t expect to see on a Quick Service menu at Hollywood Studios. I will definitely order it again (in fact I have now had it twice in a 2 week span). Check Disney’s Menu to make sure they still offer it before you go.
We had the Wookie Cookie for dessert. It is so big that you can split it between two people. It is an oatmeal cookie with cream and a caramel chocolate on top. The cookie was very rich and better than a Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pie. I highly recommend you try it.
I love the decor of Backlot Express. It is themed as the backlot of a movie set and includes memorabilia and posters from a variety of Disney films.
We have a favorite table in the restaurant. The sinks have a glass over them that looks like they are full of water. The table is also located by the beverage station.
This restaurant also offers outdoor seating with views of the Jedi Training Academy (when it is in session).
I hope you enjoyed the Backlot Express Review. Follow along as we attempt to accomplish our Walt Disney World Restaurant Bucket List!
