I save money on books by getting them to read from the library for free, or swapping online at http://www.paperbackswap.com. I also have a nook that someone gave me , that I get free books on. You could conceivably get enough 5.00 amazon gift cards by going though http://www.swagbucks.com and doing surveys , searches, daily polls, watching videos and other things by collecting lots of points to get amazon gift cards 450 pts for a 5.00 amazon. gift card. They also have a trade in part on maazon to trade in textbooks and video games etc, for amazon.com gift cards. You could then trade these gift cards in for a amazon kindle for $79.00. They have many free books for the kindle on their site.

I like the stretching the oatmeal article. My mother in law makes a large batch for my father in law(since he gets up super early for work) and that way he can take out what he wants and then just pop it in the microwave. They have been having steel cut oatmeal with a bit of truvia and some jam with a few of the belvita crackers. (they are really addicting and come in a variety of flavors) :) I got them on sale and stocked up when they were here. :)
